Comments about this page

For some two years I have been asking about Brian Colclough & Patrica his wife. Both were & are really top skaters Brian did say about a skating reunion sometime back, I did ask when & where? But there was no reply. Now a friend, Derek & Pat Barker who were in the roller skating shows at the Wellie sent me an article with Brian & Pat & another two skaters photo in the local papers the writer asking question on same.Well on behalf of all us old Skaters of the roller skating shows to Brian when do you think you can reply to let us all know of this Reunion? If there is such a thing

Thank you for the comment Colin. It is a fact that I posted an answer several times via this site which was not published. I did indeed ask if there was a problem of sorts. On no occasion did I get a reply. I know the system does work quite well - proved by this page. To date there has not been an organised reunion but am hopeful. On another matter - if any readers have photographs to add to this Gorleston page please let me know because there is a lot of interest.

Hi BRIAN & PATRICIA well at last we have lift off.  For many years I have read and followed some of your skating accolades as a very minor skater who made it into the 1953-54 skating shows.  When I went to the roller rinks (indoor and outdoor) I watched yourself and Patricia pair skating on normal times and in show times and wished that I could do the same.  However, David Parker and later Tony Bean (who is no longer with us) did make it to the comic team (you may remember us?) I also made it into the Comets roller hockey team.  Glad to say I met up with a friend off yours Peter Parker and my old team captain Tony Taylor.  I also heard of the passing of a dear friend Frank Burnett, he helped me a great deal in my hockey days I will miss him.  However, I am so glad to have made contact and I hope that the Time and Tide will take note if another skating reunion is planned as I should think a number of us are getting on a bit so hope its not to far in the future.  Time and Tide has my email address if you feel inclined to let me know when and where.  See you around from me and all us skaters out there.
