By John Layton
Maurice Joel, a local artist, has always been interested in Yarmouth, and has produced these 'interpretations' of some of Yarmouth's buildings.
Fullers' Hill was so-called because it was where, in days gone by, washer-women went down to the river to wash clothes, Fullers Earth being a substance used in washing clothes.
Laughing Image Corner was on North Quay, somewhere near where the Courthouse now stands, I believe, so-called because of a picture of a laughing child on the corner of a house.
Queens Street is just behind the Town Hall, on South Quay, and houses some of the town's solicitors.
