For some time, anybody wishing to travel by road from Yarmouth and Caister to Gorleston had only one option - the much-congested Haven Bridge.

The construction of the Breydon Bridge in June 1985 meant that the travel time was much reduced, along with town centre congestion.

Here are a few photographs showing the construction of the Bridge:
