Grandparent's holidays
Nanny only had day trips once or twice a year - days out to the zoo, etc. She travelled by coach.
Granddad was the same - no holidays, only day trips - he travelled by coach or train
Parent's holidays
Mum was lucky to have lots of holidays every year. She went to several countries, travelling by car, then aeroplane, then coach.
Dad went from London to Essex in a car with his mum and dad.
Children's holidays
I went to Menorca, I travelled by car, aeroplane and coach.
