Shipwrecked Sailors Home post-World War Two

Photograph of Lifebelt and picture of French Trawler 'St Pierre Eglise'

By John Layton

After the cessation of hostilities in 1945, the Sailors' Home still continued doing the job it had done before...

The photograph here is of a Lifebelt and picture of the French Trawler 'St Pierre Eglise'.

(This was placed outside the Sailors' Home at Yarmouth, where it was smashed and molested by irresponsible day trippers!)
