Market Trader Alan Pitt

Photographs of the Modern Day Market Trader

By John Layton

These are pictures of Alan Pitt at work on his market stall.

The market has always been a place to come for reasonably-priced bags, suitcases and purses.

Up until recently, one of the bag stalls on the market belonged to 'Alf the Purse King', who had seemed to go on forever until his recent death.

Rachel asked: when are the markets on?

There are some permanent stalls on Great Yarmouth Market which are open daily Monday - Saturday. The full market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday.
