Great Yarmouth was a mecca for roller skating enthusiasts in the two decades after the war. It had a thriving club with many British skating champions performing and coaching the stars of the future. The club used outside facilities during the summer and there was also a show put on for the visitors featuring many of the big names in the rolller skating world. The club moved indoors during the winter and used the huge area inside the Winter Gardens complex for tuition.
